A global law firm brings in a large cohort of trainee solicitors each year – high-achieving, intellectually confident and arriving with significant expectations. The challenge was to design an induction that matched their ambition: one that did more than orient them to the firm, but genuinely prepared them to contribute and belong from day one. It also needed to reflect the culture and values that make the firm distinctive – rigorous, collegial and genuinely global.
We designed a multi-day induction experience that balanced firm orientation with personal development and genuine community-building. The programme was built around the principle that the strongest start isn't the one that loads people with information – it's the one that helps them understand who they are in this environment, and how they can be at their best. Every session was designed to do both.




Trainees moved through a programme that combined the firm's story and strategy with skills development, peer connection and personal reflection. Sessions ranged from large-group plenary to small-team challenge to one-to-one coaching moments. The experience was deliberately varied – in format, pace and tone – to mirror the range of environments trainees would encounter in practice. By the end, participants didn't just know more about the firm; they felt part of it.
