challenge.

Following a major structural overhaul under its newly appointed CEO, a global insurance business needed its VP population to show up differently. The company was navigating a complex cultural shift – moving from a command-and-control leadership model to one built on collaboration, cross-functional thinking and shared accountability. The challenge wasn't just structural, it was cultural. Senior leaders needed to understand what the new operating model required of them personally, and to build the skills and relationships to make it happen.

solution.

We designed an immersive two-day residential leadership event for 85 of the client's VPs, built around research from Dr Heidi Gardner on Smart Collaboration. The programme combined diagnostic insight with experiential learning – giving leaders a clear picture of where the organisation was, and what it would take to shift it. Sessions were designed to be direct, challenging and immediately applicable, with structured peer connection and cross-functional dialogue built in throughout.

experience.

Day one focused on honest diagnosis – where were the client's collaboration gaps, and what was getting in the way? Facilitated sessions drew on real organisational data to surface patterns, spark candid conversations and shift perspectives. Day two moved into action – what does smarter collaboration look like in practice, and how do we start building it now? Leaders left with shared language, stronger cross-functional relationships and a set of concrete commitments to take back to their teams.
